Puppy Kindergarten:

Although this class is fun, it isn't a puppy party! Learn how to properly socialize and teach your puppy social etiquette. Learn how to address energy, walk on a loose lead, housetrain, crate train and come when called. Learn how to handle common behavior issues like mouthing, chewing and jumping up. Whatever issues you may have, we will teach you how to address them quickly and painlessly! This class is the perfect puppy primer to our comprehensive Basic Course. Meets on Saturdays at 9:30 am.

Basic Obedience Classes:

Our classes provide the right atmosphere for socializing and training dogs of all ages to learn consistent obedience, good manners and self control around many distractions. Learn how to teach your dog to walk politely on a loose lead, walk and sit at heel, come when called, sit stay, down stay, stand stay, kennel,  respect boundaries, yield, perform numerous tricks and much more. Discover how to handle behavior problems such as chewing, mouthing, jumping, soiling, stealing, scavenging, barking, bolting, pulling, digging, over-stimulation, aggression and fear. We also discuss how to select the best toys, foods and treats for your dog. Learn how to maintain your dog's coat, nails, teeth and health throughout the life of your dog. No question is left unanswered in this 8 week course. Dogs must be at least 16 weeks of age. Dogs do not attend the first class. Includes Ted's book, "
The Complete Family Dog."

Good Citizen Classes:
The American Kennel Club offers any breed of dog the opportunity to earn an AKC Certificate (click here for more information).

This 6 week advanced training course is designed around a wide variety of fun and challenging real life situations that usually drive dogs to distraction. Many of you will be happy to hear that there are no lectures in this course! We also do long distance and extended term exercises to increase your dog's capabilities and reliability. Dogs that work very well on leash will begin off leash work. This training prepares your dog for the AKC Good Citizen Test that is given in the 6th week of class. Some insurance companies, homeowner and condominium associations are requiring CGC Certification or offering discounts to those who have dogs that have earned it. All dogs entering this class are required to have completed our beginning obedience course or an equivalent.
